This month’s meeting will be August 19th and will be held in the newly finished Parish Center.

This weekend is the Parish Festival and many of us will be busy helping in different spots around the grounds. Volunteers are always welcome at the Beer booth so stop in when you can if you have not already committed to a time. This year John Stafford is running the food booth and is looking for a hand with the grilling for both Saturday night and Sunday. See John on Saturday night and let him know if you can lend a hand.

The Gold Plate tickets are moving a little slow this year. We need everyone to pitch in with the sales if this event is to be a success. Help at the event is needed for 50-50 sales, check-in, and Bingo Card sales. See Steve Griffith or myself at the next meeting. Extra tickets will also be available at the sweepstakes booth at the festival if you need more.

It seems like summer just started but it’s almost time to start planning the 2nd Booya, which will be October 4th this year. All of the prepwork on the vegetables and the actual cooking will start on October 3rd. If you are a real nite owl, think about helping out stirring a couple of pots Saturday night.
